The Central Wisconsin Saints Youth Hockey Organization operated out of the NHLPA Goals and Dreams Arena until 2009, when Zuniga decided it was time to bring the excitement of Junior Hockey to Stevens Point Wisconsin. The new team would be housed at the K.B. Willett Arena, the home of the UW - Stevens Point Pointers and the SPASH Panthers.
He established the Central Wisconsin Saints Junior Hockey Association and the new team joined the upstart Great Lakes Junior Hockey League. The Erie Lakers were moved to Central Wisconsin to become the Saints.
After the 2011-2012 season Central Wisconsin moved from the GLJHL to the Minnesota Junior Hockey League as part of an affiliation agreement with eight teams from the Great Lakes Junior Hockey League; one that will transform the MnJHL into a 16-team, two-division grooming grounds for college hockey prospects.
The move, which was mutually agreed upon between all parties, will have the eight clubs coming over from the GLJHL playing in what will be called the Great Lakes Division of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League. The original teams will now be called the Minnesota Division.
